Life Is Beautiful! Picket Fence Studios May 2022 Release

Hello there everyone!
Today, I wanted to share this card I created using some new and old products from Picket Fence Studios' latest release.

This card was definitely coloring intensive, and a lot of labor went into the card itself. But, I think that is the best part about cardmaking. The love and thought that goes into a card make it that much more meaningful.

I stamped the treehouse image from the Play Is Good stamp set with PFS Black Hybrid Ink Pad once on white cardstock and once on masking paper. I like this ink pad because it's great for coloring with alcohol markers.

Before masking off the image, I used my favorite alcohol markers to color the treehouse. Then, I masked off the image and stamped the Endless Cloud stamp with clear embossing powder. I then heat set that with my heat tool.

Before removing the masking paper, I used my PFS Life Changing Blending Brushes and ink blend on one side of the card front with a hybrid ink.

I used the coordinating dies from Iconic Beauty Scarlett and die-cut the 'Life is beautiful' sentiment out of black cardstock five times. Then, using Ultra Bond liquid adhesive from Thermo-Web, I layered that together to create dimension.

To add a little more interest to my card front, I added a few of the beautiful butterflies from the Fly With Me sequin mix and added a top layer of shimmer from a shimmer marker onto the die-cut sentiments.

I adhered it to a side folding black card base to finish off the card.

I hope you found this tutorial helpful and found some time to get crafty in your craft space.

Until next time!

Have a beautiful day!

Slimline Hello Card

Hello and welcome to my blog!

Today, I am sharing a slimline card that I created using some products from PhotoPlay. I started off the card by die-cutting the Slimline Lotus Coverplate with Color Me Cardstock twice in my electric die-cutting machine.

I also die-cut the Nested Elegant Die a few times from white cardstock and once out of vellum. I then layered the pieces using Ultra Bond Liquid Adhesive from Thermo Web.

Then going in with my Picket Fence Studios Life Changing Blending Brushes, I inked and blended one of the cardstock with the pierced lotus cover plate with Distress Oxide Inks. I used shades in Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick, and Picked Raspberry.

For the sentiment, I used the Hey, Hello, Hi dies from Say It With Stamps and cut that out a few times in white cardstock and once out of gold foil cardstock. Then, I adhered it together using liquid adhesive.

I stamped the flower images using the Love Mom stamp set from Say It With Stamps onto vellum and heat embossed them in white. Then I used my coordinating dies to cut that out before adhering everything onto the second white cardstock pierced with the lotus cover plate.

Finally, I adhered to the #9 card blanks and added a few embellishments. I like using this card blanks because it takes the ease out of measuring. I don't want to fuss around with measurements for different shaped cards, and having a card base that has already been cut to size and scored is PERFECT! Definitely a time saver!

And that completes the card!
I hope you found some inspiration and get crafty in the craftroom.

Have a wonderfully blessed day!

Picket Fence Studios May 2022 Release!!!

Good morning friends!!
Today is such a special day because it's release day for Picket Fence Studios. I have to say that the new products are absolutely amazing alone, but I think pairing them up with older stamps and dies set makes them shine!

To kick off the release, I want to share this first card that I created using the masking technique. I colored the images with Copic markers and also used the life-changing brushes to help blend in the scene.

This card has a lot of different elements. I used the New Slim Line Ocean Stencil to create the water scene. And used the sentiment from the New Play Is Good stamp set. I also went in and stamped out characters from the adorable Drop By To Say Croak stamp set. And, to add even more details to the scene I used Pond Scenery to help with scene building.
